We at Winterdienst BEST, as the controller, take the protection of your data seriously. We want you to know what data we store and how we use it. We of course comply strictly with data protection law, in particular the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG). We process personal data only in accordance with those provisions.

Definition: “personal data”
Under the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), personal data means any information relating to the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person — that is, personal information such as name, identification number, location data, occupation, age and so on.
This does not cover sufficiently anonymised information that can no longer readily be attributed to a specific person, for example statistics on user behaviour such as anonymised IP addresses (cf. Art. 4(1) GDPR).
Definition: “processing”
For the purposes of the GDPR, “processing” means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means. Processing includes collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction (cf. Art. 4(2) GDPR).

You can visit our site without providing any personal details. We do not store access data. Your personal data is not passed to third parties for any purposes other than those set out below.
Data security
During your visit to the website we use the widely adopted SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol together with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser.

Email security and enquiries
If you send us a message via the contact form, your email address is used solely for correspondence with you. Processing for the purpose of contacting us takes place under Art. 6(1) GDPR on the basis of the consent you give voluntarily.
Your rights
You have the right to withdraw consent you have given at any time under Art. 7(3) GDPR; to request information about the personal data we process about you under Art. 15 GDPR; to request the prompt rectification of inaccurate data under Art. 16 GDPR; to request the erasure of data we hold under Art. 17 GDPR; to request the restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority under Art. 77 GDPR.
