Frequently asked questions
Snow and ice from private property may not be deposited on footpaths, cycle lanes or the carriageway. We therefore push the snow onto the part of the footpath bordering the road, or — where that is not possible — onto the edge of the carriageway, positioned so that traffic and pedestrians are obstructed no more than is unavoidable. If you wish, we will also dispose of leftover grit at the end of the winter season.
Your properties are normally scheduled into rounds, which our crews work through in sequence. We monitor conditions continuously and decide on the basis of our drivers' and supervisors' decades of experience whether a deployment is needed. Our call-outs therefore depend on weather factors such as moisture or precipitation in combination with the air temperature across the different parts of Berlin.
Grit removal is not automatically part of our services. If you would like grit removed once the winter season ends, please tell us when we prepare your quote so that we can account for the area to be cleaned.
Both. We offer long-term contracts as well as one-off deployments or contracts covering a single season — it is simply a matter of negotiation. Please note, though, that our contracts renew automatically after a season unless something different has been agreed. To avoid that, do check the terms of the contract and in particular the notice periods.
Yes. Before every contract we assess the conditions on site and produce our own measurement, which is what our pricing is based on. That lets us accommodate very specific circumstances — the size of the areas, manual versus machine cleaning, hydrants, columns, balconies, steps, roofs, bin stores and so on — and price and service each of them individually.
